History of the Goodvibes Sugar Plum

The heirloom French Sugar Plum carries a story that began centuries ago in southwest France, where monks first cultivated the Pruneau d’Agen by grafting imported plums with local varieties. Revered for its unmatched sweetness and versatility, the fruit quickly became a culinary treasure across Europe. In the mid-1800s, famed horticulturist Luther Burbank refined the Pruneau d’Agen into the French Improved Plum in Sebastopol, California. Today, Northern California remains the only place outside of France where this rare heirloom fruit is still grown.

Beyond its rich history and honeyed flavor, the sugar plum is a true nutritional powerhouse. It is naturally high in fiber, packed with essential nutrients, and contains twice the antioxidants of blueberries! With a low glycemic index, sugar plums help stabilize blood sugar, support appetite control, and provide lasting energy.

We are overjoyed to share this delicious and nutritious fruit straight from the farm to you!
