Our farming roots trace back to 1879, when our grandmother Elizabeth Kaiser Schmidt purchased half of the historic Sutter Hock Farm from John Sutter. Soon after marrying our grandfather Ferdinand Hauss, they established one of the first orchards in Sutter County, California in 1888 becoming pioneer orchardists.
Ferdinand's ingenuity transformed the canned peach industry when he introduced the Hauss Cling Peach, the original midsummer variety from which all other midsummer peaches have been derived.
Our Mission
Rooted in the example of Saint Isidore, our farm reflects the values of love and care for the land by protecting the soil, the dignity of manual labor, and the happiness found in a simple, purposeful life. We believe that sainthood is not reserved for the learned or the religious but is a calling that all people, regardless of their position, can achieve through everyday acts of goodness and devotion.
In keeping with these values, we are dedicated to not only producing quality organic rice and walnuts but also giving back to our community. Our GoodVibes Food Program reflects our commitment to sharing the blessings we have received. For every product we sell, a portion of the proceeds is donated to local food banks, ensuring that those in need are nourished and supported.

Both holding bachelor’s degrees in Holistic Health Sciences, we are deeply committed to providing fresh, healthy, and high-quality foods.
